Collision

The body of work explore the concept of ‘chance’ in the realm of paint and weather patterns. Using pigment, ink and water with the allowances of prolong period of time, the visual representation create colourful channels, ripples, waves, firstly by the artist's hand and then by the natural forces of chance, gravity and drying times. The work perceive the artist as a chronic in-betweener, where the two process to the painting are contradicting - one is an extroverted colourist, another pursues the subtle blackness effects of glided and controlled surface. The drawing produces fluid works that drip and overlap, meld and blend, sacredness and passion; violence, sacrifice, and death; fear and awe; beauty, pleasure, peace, and joy.
